Higher education?, Will you have a try? With the establishment of a scientific and technological society, people pay more and more attention to the education one would receive. It seems that the more education one receive the better job one would take. But is it the case, anyway? According to the latest statistics, there is a drop in amount of the students took graduate entrance examination this year. And they say those who are fresh postgraduates are facing the dilemma of hunting jobs, for they could not get the jobs require for doctor degrees and as the companies would rather choose university graduates in order to pay less salary than the salary a postgraduate would have, so they could not find the jobs that require only bachelor degrees. It is not practical to get a master degree if you don't like the major. When you graduate of a master degree, there are less jobs for you to choose because your major dwindles the scop so you could only choose the jobs that are relate to your major. What's more you are not as young as university graduates any more. The questions are: Would you like to have a try--to take part in the graduate entrance exam? Do you think it will give your advantage in hunting jobs if you get a master degree? If you you are postgraduate, how do you think of the gradually austere job market? Do you still think your right to have taken part in the graduate entrance exam worthwhile? Let's talk~ Dialect, Will you use it in modern city? Our big China has so many people from different regions. Different people in different regions have their dialects. People would like to speak their dialect not only because all the people live their speak it but also it's their real mother language. With the popularization of Mandarin, we are more convenient to communicate with local guys when we travel another place. It is undoubtedly that it is a must to popularize Mandarin within such a big country. Now here comes the questions: Do you think it is also important to speak/learn dialects? Do you think it's warm when you hear your dialect in another place? What's your dialect then? Do you know well of it? Use it often? Do you plan your life? One of my foreign teacher once said:"If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."
It means that if you don't plan your life well, you may fail in your life. So, do you make plans in your life? Do you carry out your plans well? ---Topic from iamliu1986
My post after:
Absolutely~! Fail to plan and plan to fail...I agree with your teacher! So, do you make plans in your life? Sure I do. I am a regular people and I'd like to do everything according to my schedule. Without a timetable, I don't know what to do, to tell you the fact, I have many plans, short-term, mid-term and long-term plans. Finish certain plans in certain period of time. Do you carry out your plans well? It depends on whether your plans are feasible or not. No one can achieve the objects that are out of their personal reach. And we should set our goals according to the fact. Up to now, I am getting on carrying out my plans, which makes me happy. What's your comment on Western report on China?PUT club provides a lot of English listening material from western media.A lot reports China's economy cultrue education, etc. So what are your opinion or comments on these reports, are they exaggerated or just tell what it is?

Don't you think the reports on China from western countries offered us a good chance to know something about our nation in some other respects? Sometimes we should not believe all the news reports on the media, especially the news in China. Because all the newspapers will only report the similar content of China, the government controls the consensus though it maintains that everybody has priority of speech. Can you see any public speeches, I mean the real speeches in the streets? None... We may have a look at the news from western countries to know the real thoughts foreigners have about China. As we are adults and have higher education, I think we could select the right from the mess. what kind of job I am or you are looking for?, confused......Wow.......my guys,it 's a long long time I haven't been here, where was I ?
I was in the place where my future job lies. senior this year, and I have to face this problem, and at last I'v got one,but I really don't know whether or not it is the exact one I need or I am suit for,cos I am so confused what kind of life it will bring to me and what I can get from it,confusing........ ---Topic from tanling

If you give us as much information about yourself as you could, you'll get more useful suggestions~!
As to me, few people can find the jobs they really like and lead a happy life because of their ideal jobs. You would find soon that few fresh graduates can take up the jobs relate to their majors, the great majority of them have to convert to another strange field and have to learn new knowledge in all their life. The knowledge you've learnt in university is almost useless for your future career. You may have higher education because of your IQ and your hardworking, but you may never achieve the success in your job or business because it depends on not only your IQ but also your EQ and some communication skills. Society is a large school. If you stop learning after your graduation, it means a bad end in the future. So please do not be so confused about your recent condition. As you should adjust yourself from time to time to make yourself be suitable for such a competitive society. It is unwise to limit yourself into a certain field. For your reference~! You should be aware of it that to be an accountant in China, no matter what kind of company you work for, means that you would have less relation to English. It is a pity that you have to bear. Coz I am an accounting clerk in a multinational company now and my personal experience tells me that if you could use simple English to express yourself in your work and that's enough. Because we should follow the accounting operations wishin the accounting law's boundary. And you know, Chinese accounting law was written in full Chinese... As you mentioned 4 big accounting firms. Well, it's no sencond choice for those fresh graduates, but not wise one for wise people. As far as I know, more and more fresh graduates who entered accounting firms chose to jump ship one year later. Working in accounting firms no matter famous or not, means that you will have to bear endless OTs, long business trips and great energy consuming. To you, you are only the employee or the slave of the firm, unless you get a CPA certificate or other certificate and to become the partner of your boss, you will feel the hell in work soon~ To recommend you a book~!I am very glad to recommend one book to you today.
It is the first book written by one of my friends. The book is about a series of legendary stories of an antique trader. He's very young and mysterious. (abover all, very handsome......) I ensure you that you will find the most fantastic and exciting stories in the book and those who like comic books will love it. To tell you the truth, hospital to me is a horrible place. Of course I was born in one hospital, I was sent to hospital again five minutes right after when I first went to my home with my parents... Those terrible hospital experiences never happen to me again because I became a very strong and healthy girl later. I would rather not to go to the hospital if there is no much serious disease... But as my company bought a medical insurance for us, it is good for us to go to the hospital to have a check of our bodies should there any sick feelings arouse inside. I do not want to go exactly, you know, go to the hospital means a lot of trouble I don't like to do such complicated body examing or face the indifferent doctors. Anyway, if I do not feel well and the sickness really affects me a lot I won't hesitate a moment but to go to see the doctor, no matter how trying it would be. 20070108Tuesday Sunny
I had a rather nice day because I did not go to work and enjoyed my annual leave at home, though it sounds a bit ridiculous… ^__^
I’m not getting better for I coughed a lot and with a sore throat. Despite the sickness, it was a good day. I gave my room a thorough clean, found some important but being forgotten materials for myself from the pack of books. Pasted some keywords on the war just in front of my desk. I[m sure I can be inspired by such words—just like before… we should never compare with others, we should compete with ourselves and try out best to get a dent progress everyday, don’t you think it’s true?
Though from the next morning, I would be busier, I won’t stop my effort paying. Keep on fighting! Do You Often LOOK BACK?There is always memory. Here or there, there would be some hints that reminds you of your past. Some incidents are rimmed with laughter, some stuck with tears, or just a sigh.
Please never be embarrassed when you're talking about or asked about such experience. Everyone looks back. It isn't a bad thing anyway. The point is -- Do you often look back? How does it feel when you do so? What is it that drags you back? ---Topic from Fanfanly
My post after:
Do you often look back? Actually, no, not often. I don't think it's good to look back often... How does it feel when you do so? It depends~ When I am in a good mood, even the sad miserable memory can also bring me a lot of happiness, like when I was a little kid, I was always scolded or even beat by my mother...coz I was very naughty at that time... What is it that drags you back? when the festivals come, or when I and my parents or other relatives have a chat... you know, it's easy to drag me back~ what can we do to save her? Here is the trouble,
there is a girl who totally fall in love with a guy for about two years. (She is not pretty and a little bit short.) But the problem is that the guy is too bad,not only his family background, his education background, but also his own character. His work is not stable, he often use his girlfriend money to buy whatever he want, even he use her credit card without noticing her. The girl's parents get more worried as their daughter refuse to break up with that guy who is not deserved her love. No matter what her parents say, no matter how sad, desperate they are. The girl just ignore them, she can't listen to them, she is indifferent towards this. What she believes is that his boyfriend is perfect for her, she can do anything for him. So what will be the good way to persuade her not to be with him? What's the method to work it out? Have you got any ideas? ---Topic from Forever love~
My post after:
To be honest, no, I have no idea. The girl is an adult already and sometimes we should be responsible for what we have done, we are doing or will do in future. Her choice is obvious: though there are obstacles from her parents, she ignores them; though many bad behaviors of the boy, she doesn't mind...What can we say about this? Perhaps her determination resulted from her thinking that the boy loves her. Then I think the only way that could rescue her random love is to show that to her "BF", she's just the money-cashier and she is being made use of by the boy. But is is possible that the boy would leave any evidence to show his bad intention? Time can show all the fact. The premise is that you have to pay or lose something important from you at first... 20070105Friday cloudy
I’m not happy, especially when I met xiaoxiao through MSN.
Actually I got a very bad cold. As I dare not to ask for my sick leave and went on working today with coughing a lot from time to time. Jane’s a quasi-mama and Winnie’s troubled with numerous rebate checking, as hundreds of customers are waiting for their AR Statements, the sickness of mine has no weight in front of them…
So I came to work today, tried to find something happy to change the sad mood surrounded me.
After a morning’s hard work, I printed the AR Statements and EMSed them to different offices. We had a rather happy lunchtime. You know, Grace had lunch with us and we talked something about the performance we would play on the coming New Year’s Party. The good news is we got the financial budget of 50k so we can buy the first classical tools, materials we need for the performance. The bad one is that as the part of my show needs only some slabs and the ready-had my karate clothes, I have no relate to the good news…
In the afternoon, while I was taking my time, I found xiaoxiao was online. As we did not meet with each other for a long time, I broke the ice and started a chat with her.
She changed her job months ago and picked up studying Japanese again. As she said, she would like to take level 2 examination in this December.
She’s a part-time writer. I read one serious of her stories last year and they are really excellent. She had her articles published and you may even find some illegal published edition in the streets. And then she asked me the question: Why did I give up drawing? She originally thought that I would support myself by drawing (to be a painter)…
The sharp question broke my heart, just like the feeling of losing my beloved ones. I made myself busy, too busy to ever think about the problem seriously. From now on, I still could recall the spot vividly when I drew pictures late at night, showed them proudly to my friends, the great happiness I got from drawing itself. The nice days passed without any trace…All I have to do now is to either regret and put myself into despair or to go straight ahead to make my other dreams come true.
I’m good at drawing. From when I first learned how to draw till my last term with drawing class, scores of the subject are excellent. I do think I’ve got the talent in drawing, to describe the things directly with my pencils. It’s true that I dreamed of becoming a painter, though even at that time I majored in Accounting…The further education I received, the more distance I got between my dream and where I were. Temporarily give up drawing, I said to myself one year before I took the college entrance examination and that became my farewell…
“Don’t you think it the happiest when you are in the process of realizing your dreams?”, xiaoxiao asked. I agree. But I could not give up what I’m doing now easily.
To be a translator is also my choice. Though I don’t like western culture and never would I like it. (BTW, I like Japanese better than English and hope that one day I could be a translator in Japanese, but) I hope that I could at least realize the dream of becoming an English translator first.
Sometimes I find myself so coward and lacking the courage to face the future. The only suggestions I could get from my parents are to be a passionate good employee. I don’t think I should follow their advice.
Freedom and dreams are called valuable because that not everybody could achieve them. I won’t give up. Fighting! Fighting and fighting! With all my heart and strength till the end of my life! 20070104Thursday Rainy
One thing to record—we did not go to canteen for our lunch, instead we booked a meeting room and have the lunch in it together to discuss the performance we would play on New Year’s Party of 2007. Biting my McDonalds hamburger while watching the TV plays we would cosplay, I enjoyed every minute of the lunchtime. The part of my show is only to chop the slab without a sentence, I thought it’s enough. You know how shy I am…I was a member of school singing group and dancing group, but that’s quite a long time ago. Now I’m only a karate sporter, an amateur. ^0^ I can do it well! 20070101-03Rainy & cloudy
On the New Year’s Day, we got the surprising news from my aunt, as she told us, my cousin Jinjin got married last month and she did not even tell us her wedding.
Jinjin’s my cousin, who’s 5 months elder than me. As her parents divorced when she was young, maybe she got some faults in her personality at that time. We did not hear from her for long since she graduated from nursery school. It’s nothing that she did not contact us and did not attend the get-together among the cousins. But the reason why she did not asked us to her wedding really annoyed me…
Her husband is several (more than a decade) years older than her and even her husband’s mother doubted that she married her son only for his money. In order to hide that she’s from a multilated family, she did not tell her mother-in-law the truth. Even my uncle, her father in blood did not know her wedding until she at last invited him to the wedding banquet.
I did not know what to say about her indifference to her father and cheating to her mother-in-law…Sometimes we would get something only after we lost something else for instead. But I could not agree to her choice…
Say something happy. We started working from Jan. 2nd when most companies still on holidays, so we did not have much work to do. So I had very leisure 2 days just like holidays. ^__^ Do you keep a diary?Do you keep a diary?
How long have kept? Why do you choose to keep a diary? How do you think about diary? ---Topic from iamliu1986
Do you keep a diary?
Yes I do. How long have kept? I wrote my first diary when I was in primary school but I quit it for a long time until Y2003 I rewrote my diaries. This time I wrote my diaries all in English. Why do you choose to keep a diary? At first I wrote it for fun. You know as a little kid when you first learned how to write it was a great fun to describe something on paper with the new knowledge you acquired. And then I wrote my diaries into English. You know, in order to practise my English writing, there is no better way than keeping an English diary. I just keep on writing almost everyday and found the fun in writing itself. How do you think about diary? It's not easy to keep an diary everyday. But as you keep on, you will find the fun in writing when you are getting old. When I feel tired of writing, I would remind myself, to imagine that it would be great fun to read diaries in my old days. Keep on writing--that's great!!! BTW, I want to ask one more question about writing an English diary, do you check your grammars or spellings regularly? You know I wrote what I wanted to describe without any stop. Once stopped you would lose the right thing to write down. After I wrote the diary, I would type it onto Word and then put it on my msn space. At that time you may check your grammar by only put a button--F7. I don't think it's an intrusion of my privacy that I put all my English diaries (sometimes they are in Chinese) onto my MSN Space. I would like to share with others my feelings about life and I could get suggestions in time. And I do think it is others messages after my diaries that supported me keeping on writing for quite a long time! Bicycle and car, which one would you choose? As we all know, China is a country which is occupied by piles of bicycles. We can also see more and more cars running on the roads too but thousands of bicycles really give deep impressions to our foreign friends when they come to China. Though most of the environmentalists maintain that to go outside by bikes is good for both people and envirnonment, the fact is not absolutely true in China. In China only those who are rich can afford cars, for us normal residents sometimes cars to us mean a lot more than just only transportation tools. Is it true that in order to harmonize the relation between the rich and the poor, we maintain that it is good to ride bicycles. So guys, which would you choose, bicycles or cars suppose that we can afford both of them. Any reasons for your choice? What is a good job? What is a good job? Any criterion? What is a good job like?
Is what you're doing a good job for you? (If you're working..) ---Topic from Fanfanly

Good job~ Different people have different point of views. Generally speaking, those jobs that require less effort but could offer more money and better welfare are what most people pursuing all their lives. To me good jobs can be separated into two kinds. One that can satisfy your material requirements which means the jobs can offer you at least enough money to keep you alive, entertain yourself but take you less effort are good~ Another kind of jobs are the ones which really can satisfy your spiritual pursuit. You can earn the satisfaction from what you are doing no matter how much the salary is. All in all, we should try our best to do whatever good jobs as we can find. No matter what the jobs are, as long as the jobs are good, we all can be satisfied from what we are doing... |
